SCOTUS - Affordable Health Care and Dick Cheney

excerpted from an
Article first published as Supreme Court Will Address Affordable Health Care Act... Maybe on Technorati.

I bet Mr. Cheney's happy he was well insured
And I'm happy for him. Hope that he's completely cured.
All those folks who said that Cheney didn't have a heart
Must acknowledge now that it's his most expensive part.

I hear that he's comfortable - recovering his health.
And, thanks to insurance, didn't lose a lot of wealth.
That's the thing with medicine - such miracles we see -
But, unlike God's miracles, this kind is not for free.

Isn't it ironic, then, that Justices will hear
Arguments about this thing Republicans hold dear;
Is it Constitutional to force us all to pay
For those miracles that doctors perform every day?

Doctors do not have a choice according to their oath;
Doesn't matter if you're rich or poor - they treat them both.
If it's an emergency you won't be turned away.
But, the bottom line my friends is; someone's gotta pay.

Once upon a time, not long ago, the G.O.P.
Advocated mandates and their (almost) nominee
Implemented something very similar to what,
Under the Obama plan, the country also got.

Now they're praying in the streets the Court will overturn
Health Care Legislation. Should they win, I fear they'll learn
System was as broken as Dick Cheney's failing heart.
True, it isn't perfect yet but I think it's a start.
