Dear Republican Women... Really?

How is it Republicans aren't overwhelmed with shame;

Treating people as if they're a pawn; their lives a game?

Standing up for corporations, 1 percenters, banks,

Old, white men (I'm shocked when I see women in their ranks.)

Things that women care about, Republicans oppose;

Health-care clinics, food assistance - first things that they close.

Fighting to block overtime reforms, a living wage,

Everything the President proposes at this stage.

Since they're the majority in Congress and they might

Even win the Senate, come the next election night,

While the rich get richer and the poor folk fall behind,

President Obama could be in a nasty bind.

If the Democrats should lose a few more Senate seats

(Which they could, according to the word out on the streets)

Our divided government divides a whole lot more

If we let Republicans control the Senate Floor.

Race for the White House - 50 Shades of Rape?

"Forcible"?  "Legitimate"?  The 50 shades of rape?

I would not believe it if I hadn't seen the tape.

I am still incredulous that Akin's staying in;

That he's only 10 points back and has a chance to win.

In the current day and age I thought this battle won,

But that's not the platform the Republicans will run.

Christian Right is organized this time and running hard.

Women voters need to stay aware and be on guard.

Rights to our own bodies that they plan to take away.

They'd deny us birth control...  Viagra?  Then they'll pay.

And, should we get pregnant during rape that's not legit,

Once the child is born, Republicans don't give a  ....  ahem - spit.

Then you're just a welfare mom and you are on your own.

"Sorry sweetie. Out of luck.  Our deficit has grown

After all the subsidies and tax breaks for the rich.

Surely you can understand and not be such a ...  uhh - witch."

Maybe I should wrap this up...  I feel the need to swear.

As I go, I saw a video I thought I'd share.

This girl is terrific and she has a lovely voice.

Missouri's Senate Race - You're Kidding Me, Right?

Claire McCaskill's Senate chances got a recent lift

After her opponent gave an unexpected gift.

Something so egregious there's no way he can survive.

If he has the sense God gave him, he'll drop out by 5.

Mr. Akin claimed a woman's body will reject

Pregnancy by rape from a "legitimate" suspect.

"Has a way of shutting down that kind of thing," said he.

(You can bet McCaskill's people greeted that with glee.)

Problem is that Akin's wrong - of course - but not far off.

Read the platform they're supporting first, before you scoff.

No exceptions for abortions.  Choice is always wrong.

Doctor's office isn't where Republicans belong...

Not if you're a woman - Frankly, not if you're a man.

I don't understand objections to Obama's plan.

Help us all gain access to good medical advice.

Women who are leaning Romney/Ryan should think twice.

Post scores by Pinocchios and guess who's nose was long?

Of the current candidates, Obama's nose is short.

Romney and Newt Gingrich lie more often they report.

Romney's latest whopper about 92%

Unemployment rate for women? Nose is broke and bent.

They don't have a category yet for true though not.

Romney tried to slip that number by but he got caught.

That is not the way to make a woman like a guy;

We can spot a phony and we know that numbers lie.
