Super Bowl was only worth the watching for the ads;

Game was over by the half for guys in football pads.

Seahawks crushed the Broncos; won it 43 to 8.

Defense shut down Peyton Manning (who did not play great.)

All of the excitement's been about an ad from Coke.

Multilingual singing caused conservatives to choke.

"They should speak American." "How dare they use that song?"

Some folks seemed to think that it's our Anthem - they were wrong.

Coke has always said they'd "like to teach the world to sing...

"Perfect harmony that echoes...  It's the real thing."

There've been calls to boycott Coke about their ad campaign,

Leading me to fear that all those people are insane.

So much for our "Brotherhood from sea to shining sea."

God should only shed his grace on me but not on thee?

I already buy a lot of Coke while at the store

But, I guarantee you now that we'll be drinking more.

There is still a week (and some) before Thanksgiving Day...

I've just thrown my pumpkin from All Hallows Eve away;

Yet, I'm seeing Christmas decorations in the stores.

Some folks have already hung their wreaths upon their doors.

There are ads with Santa Claus; I'm hearing jingle bells.

Christmas-time too early is like 7 kinds of hells.

It's no wonder that the Grinch despised the very thought;

Advertisers make you think that happiness is bought.

Thus, they start the drumming earlier so you will shop;

Best thing about Christmas Day is that the drumbeats stop.

We're exchanging home-made gifts in my large family.

This year we'll be putting thought beneath the Christmas tree.

Race for the White House - The Suspense Isn't Killing Me

 Turnout is expected to be very low today.

Voters know that Romney's it - no matter what they say.

No enthusiasm for him; just don't trust the guy.

That is why Mitt Romney's still continuing to buy

Millions in commercials. 'though the outcome is foretold

Most hard-line conservatives aren't feeling all that sold.

And, it isn't really Newt that Romney's fighting now

(That's right! Newt's still in it - has refused to take a bow.)

 Lately, I'm disgusted with "them"... Not sure who to blame.

Millions of Americans appear to feel the same.

We're all sick of scoring points against the other side;

Can't believe the gap between our views has grown so wide.

Hope the conversation turns to fixing what's gone wrong;

Figuring a way to make the 2 sides get along.

Do not waste our time with stupid stories about dogs...

Give us plans - with details - when you're writing in your blogs.
