Arming Sister Margaret!

If the GOP agrees to sticking out their necks:

Call for comprehensive, universal background checks,

Give police authority to take somebody's gun,

Raise the legal age to purchase them to 21,

I think we should let the teachers in a school decide

If they want to have a loaded pistol by their side...

If they did - and if they're trained on how to use their guns -

I'm prepared to compromise and let them arm the nuns.

(Sister Margaret was armed... She had her rosary.

She'd begin to swing those beads when she was mad at me.

With that heavy, metal cross that dangled from the end

'though, not everyone is Sister Margaret - Thank God! -

My sons had two State cops coach their Varsity Wrestling squad;

I'd trust guys like them with guns if they brought them to school.

I would make that bargain any day...  I'm not a fool.

If the President's sincere and starts to back away

From positions long supported by the NRA

I think that he'd see his polls dramatically increase.

He would have my full support...  Will wonders never cease?

You May Say I'm A Dreamer...

 

Dreamers got a rude awakening from Donald Trump;

He kept campaign promises he made while on the stump.

He's eliminating DACA which protects a kid

Who was not responsible for what their parents did.

95% of them, in college or employed,

Will not have the luxury they formerly enjoyed

Of not fearing deportation from the only place

They have ever known.  This is a national disgrace.

Like a deer caught in the headlights, Dreamers registered.

ICE knows where to find them now that action's not deferred.

I guess when the President said he would show some heart

He meant that he'd give Dreamers a six month running start.

The Sum of My Worst Fears

Since Inauguration Day I've aged a hundred years.

Donald Trump has proved to be the sum of my worst fears,

Multiplied by endless "tweets" plus Russian scandals, squared...

All of which, together, equals me becoming scared.

When the President's unstable (which Trump surely is)

And we're talking life or death decisions that are his

It's a terrifying thought which keeps me up at night;

We have given launch codes to a guy who's not too bright.

I'm not very good at math myself, but I can add.

Evidence is piling up against him...  It looks bad.

Only way to solve this problem is if we subtract

Trump from the equation via an Impeachment Act.

 

The Shove Seen 'round the World

Donald Trump, the President of these United States,

On an - almost - daily basis, clearly demonstrates

He's unfit to lead this country... An embarrassment.

Yesterday, he shoved the Montenegrin President.

That's the newest NATO Member Donald Trump just shoved.

I'm sure that's a video that Putin must have loved.

Some believe it's only right our President went first...

I thought that it showed the world our country at its worst.
